Reconditioning Procedures

All Reconditioned equipment is guaranted for 1 year. All equipment that leaves our shop is thoroughly checked and goes through a rigorous check list to insure that the equipment is in working condition, in accordance to the original manufacturer specifications.

Products

Breakers
  • Case – Check for cracks, discoloring, and or any signs of overheating.
  • Label – It has legible name (catalog number) and Amp and voltage.
  • Wire – Show no signs of overheating, deterioration and damage.
  • No missing parts.
  • Proper tightness.
  • Proper plating.
  • Examine for cross threads and stripped threads.
  • Examine for rust and corrosion on all mechanical and non mechanical components.
  • Examine contacts for signs of pitting or any damage.
  • Examine thermal and magnetic trip components for overheating and deterioration.
  • Test contact resistance and insulation.
  • Test breaker on primary injection tester if applicable in accordance with NEC guidelines article 310.
Panel Board SwitchES
  • Case – Check for cracks, discoloring, and or any signs of overheating.
  • Label – It has legible name (catalog number) and Amp and voltage.
  • Wire – Show no signs of overheating, deterioration and damage.
  • No missing parts.
  • Proper tightness.
  • Proper plating.
  • Examine for cross threads and stripped threads.
  • Examine for rust and corrosion on all mechanical and non mechanical components.
  • Examine contacts for sings of pitting or any damage.
  • Examine lugs and buss connections for overheating and damage.
    Transformers
  • Insulation resistance test.
  • Turn ratio test.
  • Proper casing.
  • Proper tightness.
    Motor Control Buckets
  • Case – Check for cracks, discoloring, and or any signs of overheating.
  • Label – It has legible name (catalog number) and Amp and voltage.
  • Wire – Show no signs of overheating, deterioration and damage.
  • No missing parts.
  • Proper tightness.
  • Proper plating.
  • Examine for cross threads and stripped threads.
  • Examine for rust and corrosion on all mechanical and non mechanical components.
  • Examine contacts for signs of pitting or any damage.
  • Examine buss wire connections.
  • Test Breaker (if applicable)
  • Examine control transformer (follow transformer check list)
  • Examine switch (follow panel board check list)

  • Test Breaker (if applicable)
  • Examine switch (follow panel board check list if applicable)

 

Bus Plug
  • Insulation resistance test
  • Examine fiberglass, heat shrink tubing and shelving for water, overheating and deterioration damage.
  • Examine bus duct ends for overheat, oxidation and deterioration.
  • Examine proper alignment.
  • Case – Check for cracks, discoloring, and or any signs of overheating.
  • Label – It has legible name (catalog number) and Amp and voltage.
  • Wire – Show no signs of overheating, deterioration and damage.
  • No missing parts.
  • Proper tightness.
  • Proper plating.
  • Examine for cross threads and stripped threads.
  • Examine for rust and corrosion on all mechanical and non mechanical components.
  • Examine contacts for signs of pitting or any damage.
